Abstract

Background Rubella constitutes an important public health problem due to the potential teratogenic effect of the virus when infection occurs early in pregnancy The objective of this study was to determine the rubella serological profile of pregnant women Methodology We conducted a prospective cross-sectional study from January 1 to March 31 2022 a period of 3 months Venous blood samples from 98 pregnant women who came for biological investigations to the laboratory of the Blanche Gomez Specialized Mother-Child Hospital Brazzaville Congo were analyzed The determination of immunoglobulins G and M was carried out on the Architect i1000SR analyzer ABBOTT using the chemiluminescence immunological technique
