Abstract

Epilepsy is a neurological alteration that affects 2% of the people in Ecuador; moreover, it has many oral manifestations and the periodontal zone it is the most affected. The main objective of this study was to identify periodontal#x2019;s manifestations in epilepsy patients who are been attended at Epilepsy National Center in Ecuador through a cross-sectional study of 44 patients who approved the inclusion criteria. A periodontal examination and epidemiological oral morbidity index (Oral Hygiene of Greene- Vermillion and O'Leary's Biofilm) were performed on each patient.
