Abstract
Introduction: Chronic Kidney Disease that requires replacement therapy for renal function is one of the conditions that have the greatest impact on the quality of life of people who suffer from it. Objective: To know the quality of life related to the health of patients with Chronic Kidney Disease in treatment with Peritoneal Dialysis and Hemodialysis, in the General Hospital of Zone No. 3, IMSS, Tuxtepec, Oaxaca, in the period between June and July of 2018. Methodology: It is based on a cross-sectional descriptive comparative design. The KDQOL-SF (Kidney and Disease Quality of Life Short Form) instrument was applied, specifically for patients with end-stage renal disease who are on dialysis therapy. Results: The results ruled that the quality of life of patients in general is regular. Of the dimensions most affected are; work situation, burden of disease, social relations and cognitive function. Being the first study carried out in the population, therefore, it will be of great interest to the Nursing staff, since this indicator helps to humanize and personalize the care.
