Abstract

Objective: To identify in the literature factors that influence dietary adherence in celiac patients. Methods: Systematic review of the literature, carried out from February to May 2019, through secondary sources in the Virtual Health Library (VHL), PubMed and in the Scientific Electronic Library Online, through the descriptors: Disease Celiac, Patient Cooperation, Diet Therapy combined. The eligibility criteria used were: scientific articles published in the English, Portuguese and Spanish languages, from 2013 to 2018. After the searches, 18 articles were included in the final analysis. Results: In all, 710, but after analysis and submission to the inclusion and exclusion criteria, there were 17 articles, 16 in English, 1 in Spanish. Of the 17 articles analyzed, 8 studies reported social discomfort as eating out, going to parties among other reasons related to sociability led to non-adherence followed by high cost of food specific for coeliac.
