Abstract

Background Cardiovascular disease CVD is the leading cause of death worldwide An estimated 17 9 million people died from cardiovascular disease only in 2019 accounting for 32 of all deaths worldwide Of these deaths 85 were caused by heart attack and stroke More than three quarters of deaths from cardiovascular disease occur in low- and middle-income countries Methods This research was conducted with the collaboration of Russian researchers RECORD-2 project supervisor Prof N A Gratsiansky coordinator senior researcher A D Erlikh patients age spectrum was between 26 to 88 years with a suspicion of one of the acute coronary syndromes at the time of admission to the hospital and included in the acute coronary syndrome register A specially organized register included 612 patients with acute coronary syndrome
