Abstract

In this study the phytochemicals, elemental, proximate analysis and anti-nutrient composition of citrus aurantifolia seeds was investigated. Fresh matured and unaffected fruits of citrus aurantifolia was bought in Mubi market. They fruits were cut opened and the seeds were removed, dried and pulverized it to powder. Phytochemical composition, proximate analysis and anti-nutrients in seed were determined using standard laboratory procedure. While elemental composition were determined using flame photometer and atomic absorption spectrophotometer. The result of the phytochemical analysis revealed that alkaloids, flavonoids and polyphenols were highly present.
